MELBOURNE MARATHON 2023

TEAM RUNASONE MELBOURNE MARATHON 2023

Sunday October 15th 2023

What’s involved in the Melbourne Marathon Program?

Preparation races:

Your individual training program will include two lead up races: the Adelaide Marathon Festival and City Bay fun run.

As well as providing a positive training stimulus, these races will give you the opportunity to practice your pre-race routine, reinforce what’s working and expose any weaknesses to work on before the main event.

Information evenings:

Information sessions are a great chance to cover topics such as nutrition and training concepts as well as FAQ about the event itself and an opportunity to ask questions or meet your fellow team mates in a relaxed environment. We will hold information evenings for participants in the Melbourne program at The RunHôuse.

Structured Long runs:

Structured long runs or race simulations are a very important and useful part of preparing for distance events, particularly the marathon. We will host two supported long runs that will enable you to practice race day routines such as drinks, nutrition and race kit in a simulated race situation around Victoria Park.

Melbourne Team Kit:

We will have specifically labelled RunAsOne, Melbourne apparel exclusively for our group to represent in Melbourne. Design plans are underway with the new kit.

Please note:

Flights, accomodation and race entry are to be organised by the individual with key information and tips provided at the first information night to assist you.

All RAO members are welcome to join the Melbourne program. Group members are encouraged to upgrade to an individualised plan for the duration of lead up program. Simply register your interest below, there is no additional cost to be involved.
