JACOB COCKS

ASSOCIATE COACH

Jacob is an elite distance runner and school teacher from Adelaide. He grew up playing a range of sports, but found his ability and enjoyment aligned best with running. At 10 years of age, Jacob joined the Flinders Athletics club for whom he still represents in state individual and relay events. Jacob had the privilege of representing Australia at the 2011 Commonwealth Youth Games as a 17 year old. He competed here in the Steeplechase, and then went on to claim many open state titles and Australian championship top 5 placings in this same discipline.

After a number of injury setbacks, Jacob turned to running without the hurdles in his mid-twenties. Enjoying success at distances from 1500m to the Marathon, he has a acquired a uniquely diverse skill set and knowledge throughout his years competing in state, national and international competitions. We feel very fortunate to be able to share Jacob’s skills and expertise to help RunAsOne athletes get the most out of themselves in any distance or discipline that they wish to focus on.
